Like nothing I have ever experienced before! It was incredible. This was a reunion for all the family of Ben's great great grandparents that settled just outside of Show Low AZ. There were 950 pre-registered and 1100 showed up. It was catered and some stayed in cabins that their family owns there on the homestead some of us stayed in RVs or tents.
This is Grandpa Harry taking a little nap in the RV, Ruby decided to snuggle up to him.

At the Homestead there was a plethora of activities for the kids to do including the playground and sandpits to dig in. There were animals to pet- horses, cows, chickens... they could even milk the cow, which creeped me out. Piper and Ruby on the Tires dug into the ground

Ben competing in horse shoe contest- they lost first round against the 2nd place team. Nan and I played Myles- her husband and Myles Knapp her cousin. We lost to them, but it was really close, we just lost our focus right at the end because we had the 3K race coming up we had to get ready for.

There was a tractor or golf cart that would drive around the grounds hauling these little water barrels on wheels that the kids could take a ride on. Cute little Train.

In the RV with Ben, Xoe, Xanthe, Rocky, and Eliza.

It was the most fun I have ever had at a reunion, there was a store that sold Whiting heritage books, or homemade Blankets, marbles, jacks, candy. Sad it only lasted a weekend. Crammed into the RV on the way home was Harry, Nancy, Ben, Me, Ruby, Nan, Myles, Rocky, Piper, Amber, Eliza, Porter, Heather, and Harrison. Even with all of us it was a fun ride home. Harry was so nice to pull over in Gilbert AZ when I had a pregnancy craving for Cafe Rio. Thanks Harry!
