Crazy week

Sorry to all my loyal Readers- you know who you are the six of you.  So this week I had to move and supervise Youth help to move furniture out of Ben's Pest control Office... for those of you who do not know, we merged the business, so we are no longer using the old office.  What a task.  With four youth, in four hours, and four trips to the storage unit, I was beat.  With this merger comes a lot of responsibility on me, in a couple months things will settle down.

Tomorrow morning - Operation survive Youth Conference without a nap during the day and late nights with the youth.  I know this sounds lame, but pregnancy really fatigues me.  I am trashed right around 2, conveniently Ruby's nap time.  So wish me luck, I packed A LOT of snacks to get me through it.

Here are some pics of Ruby and Porter, Ruby's other cousin her age... thought I would give him some blog time.  Don;t mind the crazy mess on the bed... that's just how I pack.
Porter was so cute he had his arm around Ruby's back and he was counting for her.

Gardening with the Hills

So I know it has been awhile.  My garden is growing like crazy.  This is a picture of the corn and squash in the front, then on the wooden trellis is the cucumbers and the tomatoes are right in from of me, really tall.

I just can not believe that this garden that I started has actually gotten this far.  Lately I have neglected this project, due to the heat and being too busy.  Some times a week goes by and I will go out there and (thanks to the automatic watering system) everything is doing great.
Fuzy I know...but my dad and Ben were having fun on trampoline with Ruby and Taylor while the women were weeding, fine by me... If it keeps the kiddies happy.
My mom discovered that there were three zucchini and one squash that could be harvested.  I was pretty giddy about it.   The first crop of the harvest.

Yah for Girl Power- I also had to take out three pumpkin plants, they were taking over and put some trellises up for the pumpkins to go up.  We'll see if this works.
Cousins... how cute.

Tragedy Strikes

I almost did not post this, but you all need to know.  Or you would probably find out eventually.  For mother's day I was given the best gift, it was one I needed, wanted, it would help me to be a better mother.  I received a sweet digital camera.  I am already feeling stressed just mentioning it.  Well yesterday I went outside to take an updated picture of my garden (which is doing great) and Ruby (my technology loving baby) saw the camera, so I swiftly tucked it into my back pocket. I then grabbed Ruby and came inside due to the 99 degree heat and proceeded to do some work on the computer (not a code word... I should think about using this as a code word "work")  A couple hours later I remembered the camera in my pocket... I got it out and the damage was done.  Some how, my large beauty of a behind smashed the screen, not the glass but the screen under the glass.  I can not longer see any picture.  The worst part about it is Ben kept doubting that it would make it a year, I am cursed.

I am really bummed and am going to try to have cannon fix it.  I wrote a sob story and said I would pay for the repairs.  I have hope that they will take pity on my, due to the fact that it was a mother's day present.  Oh yes, it really was a sob story.

So this is why you will need to know, do not expect sweet pics, I am going to have to resort to the camera on my computer as I did before Mother's day.

The End

A Very Special Father's Day

Father's Day: Why not, we get Mother's Day.  We went to Church and the primary kids sang "I'm so glad when daddy comes home" and the Relief Society went up and sang a song "Love at Home" that I thought was kinda funny that we just leave all the dads with the kids while we sing to them.  Most of them trying to contain the little ones.

Probably the best part of Father's Day is that Ben got to watch the Laker's win, they still have a long ways to go... but one step closer.
We had dinner with my parents Thursday night at the Cheese Cake Factory, because they were going to be out of town for Father's Day.
We gave our dads a Grandpa Coupon for Father's Day.

Piper's TWO

We had so much fun in Camarillo for Piper's Birthday.  We first went to Build a Bear and not only did Ruby and Piper have matching dresses they have matching Bears too.  They kept getting a little confused about whose bear was whose.

Then we went to Snapper Jacks... which sounds like a sea food place but is actually tacos.
The kids were so excited to see their Grammy.  Ruby has a special connection with her Grammy.
Then on to Chucky Cheese for lots of ski ball
Mini Carousel
And Birthday Celebrations with Yummy CupcakesThanks Nan for letting us come out, You are such a great hostess!

I am thankful for my ears

Ruby loves nursery.  She eats snacks, gets to play with lots of new toys, sing songs, and play with some friends.  Today in nursery they made little ear hats.  The only reason she actually wore it was because all the other nursery children were doing it.  Some times Peer pressure works in your favor.

If I were a Germ-a-phoebe

I would be screwed today.
1.)To start with Ruby found an old toothbrush I used when she only had gums, and I found her with it in the bathroom brushing her teeth with toilet water.
2.)My friend showed me this sweet petting zoo at Disneyland- for those of you like me who didn't know there even was a petting zoo at Disneyland, it's in Frontier Land, Yah I couldn't bring myself to pet the goats, but Ruby was making it her goal to pet all the goats at least once.
3.) For the first time Ruby stuck her finger up my nose, it caught me so off guard, I was almost too late in stopping her from eating my boogers.
4.) Those of you who know what a diaper Champ is know what I am talking about, when I say they are really good at keeping the sick diaper smell contained until you turn the diaper dispenser, then it lets out a little poo burp.  I occasionally clean the diaper dispenser... but it had been maybe a month, and guess who was playing in it?  Ruby put one of her toys in it and flipped it over and like magic it disappeared.  So while I was making some dinner I hear a really pissed off cry... and I run into her room to see Ruby's hands all over this poopy diaper Champ trying to retrieve her lost toy.  AHHHH SICK.

Ruby and her Friend Samantha
Look at how Huge this Sheep is!

There were probably 15 goats to pet, and they just wondered around for the kids to harass.
So if i were a Germ-a-phoebe today would not be a good day for me
